Behind every cake
there’s me.

My name is Júlia and JuliCake is close to my heart — a dream that came true.

My love of baking started while I was on maternity leave. Between looking after the children I found something that I don’t just enjoy, but that fulfils me. I had no plans to go back to the years I’d spent in admin.

I took a confectionery course, passed the three-stage examination, sorted out the permits and in September 2019 I rented a small workshop in Kvetoslavov. I took the risk and threw myself into it.

In time the workshop was simply too small. With my husband’s help I moved, in just under three years, into my own premises in Dunajská Lužná, where we’ve been baking for you ever since.

Every cake and every dessert is made by hand, with the time and care it deserves. I go by the idea that less is sometimes more. What I care about most is choosing good, fresh ingredients — that’s my number one priority.

As there are just two of us baking, my colleague and I, we can make around 20–25 cakes a week.
